I am a Swedish author and narrative designer called Mattias Serrander; a gay transman with a passion for fantasy, sci-fi, and diversity.

Growing up, I had a fascination surrounding the art of storytelling in all its forms and spent a lot of time in the library and cinema. I found joy in writing and creating at an early age, writing selfinsert stories from mine and my younger siblings favorite books, allowing us to wander the halls of Hogwarts together, or podrace on the planet Tatooine.

For some years I lost the will to write, feeling I couldn't do it well enough, and tried my hand at other creative things such as acting or painting, but I felt a pull towards the art of writing stories. I therefore returned to it and dove head first into every type of writing, loving every moment of it, not feeling that I needed to be perfect from the get-go. I started up tabletop roleplaying campaigns with an emphasis on roleplay, with large worlds, vivid characters and intriguing mysteries. Stories I had had in my head, I finally put into words.

It wasn't until a few years back, when I was recovering from surgery that I first picked up the controls for a video game. Sure, I had dabbled before, some racing games, karaoke, and a lot of mobile games, but this was when I fell in love. I started playing every narratively driven game I could find that appealed to me and thought: This is what I want to do.

So I started working towards it together with dear friends who supported me every step of the way. Now I have several writing courses under my belt, and some basic programming skills in Unity, while striving to one day tell my stories as a game.
